Additional Information/Frequently Asked Questions

What activities will my player be doing? Hub City Soccer TOPSoccer is an adaptive soccer program that will feature education-based,
age appropriate activities. The focus will be on having fun and being active. TOPSoccer volunteers will be on hand to assist
players, and to work one on one with them as needed. There will be more than one court available during each time slot, players
may be engaging in different activities or games on each court, and they will be grouped with players of similar ability. This program
is open to any player who wants to enjoy some social time, and who is interested in engaging in some soccer related
games/activities in a non-competitive, inclusive environment.

Where will Hub City Soccer TOPSoccer be held? All dates will be held in the new Winter home of Hub City Soccer, the Matchbox
Recreation Center, 110 Centennial Street South, in Aberdeen.

What is the playing surface? The playing surface is a “futsal” or “sport court” playing surface. Softer than a gymnasium floor, but
solid enough to bounce a ball on. Perfect for wheels, or any devices that are needed by players.

What type of shoes does my player need? Players can wear indoor soccer/futsal shoes as desired, or they can wear regular tennis
shoes. Players should NOT wear cleats (cleats will not work on this indoor surface). The only additional request is that player’s shoes
be CLEAN on the bottom (they should bring their shoes with them and change into them upon arrival at the facility if possible).
Does my player need Shin-Guards? Players are encouraged to wear traditional soccer shin-guards, but this is absolutely NOT
required.

Does my player need a jersey? As part of their registration fee, each Hub City TOPSoccer player will be issued the same Red and
Blue Hub City Soccer Player jerseys that all Hub City Soccer league players are issued. These jerseys/shirts will be issued to the player
on their first day of attendance, are available in sizes Youth Small through Adult Extra-Large, and are to be kept permanently by the
player. They can wear either the Red or Blue jersey each date that they attend.

Does my player need to bring a soccer ball? Anything else? All balls and equipment will be provided. A player may want to bring
water or a sports drink as desired.

What do I do while my player is participating? There will be seating available for parents to view the activities, and a “commons”
area where drinks/snacks will be available for purchase.

What if my player cannot attend all 4 dates? That is no problem. Players can attend as many, or as few of the listed dates as
desired.

Is Financial Assistance Available? Yes, HCSC has financial assistance programs available for families in need. Please contact the HCSC
